I think I found Brisbane’s biggest sandwich! Today I’m at @lafavolosa_ - Brisbane’s home for Italian schiacciata and deli style sandwiches which come in J Webby portion sizes La Favolosa is a new addition to West end serving up schiacciata, pizza, cannoli and good Italian style coffee But I was there to tackle this monster sandwich which was made up of two of the La Favolosa best sellers: the Paradiso and the La toto 🥪La Toto: Hot soppressata, provolone, friariello and EVOO 🥪Paradiso: Stracciatella, pistachio cream, rocket, mortadella, truffle paste, grated pistachio and EVOO I had no strategy for this, just get low and chew! This was a 60 by 40 cm bread base which weighed 2.3 kg on its own and then was stacked with plenty of ingredients 20mins in and I was really starting to feel it. This sandwich was never ending. I tried to focus on getting as much bread down as possible but this then uncovered all the generous fillings - and man I was getting full. Make sure you check out @lafavolosa_ but make sure you order yourself a standard size schiacciata ! Brisbane’s biggest sandwich had me defeated.
